Guidelines for 2008/2009 Admissions

2008/2009 ACADEMIC SESSION

PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSION

(Note: All prospective applicants must have a functional Email address)

       1.            Prospective candidate without any ATM card can proceed to any
                branch of Skye Bank or any other Bank to obtain an ATM card (Cash
                card).

2.            Prospective candidate fund the ATM card account and thereafter log on-line to http://www.mylaspotech.com/admission_purchase.aspx to initial the admission process by selecting the programme of choice.  A new page appears that shows the cost of the Application Form Full-time application form = N2, 300.00 + 1.5% = N2, 334.50, Part-time application form = N2, 800 + 1.5% = N2, 842, Post JAMB /PCE application form = N1, 300 + 1.5% = N1, 319.50);

NOTE: A functional email address is a must-have for prospective candidates, so if                       you  do not have one, create one first.

     3.     Applicants are thereafter directed to the secure payment gateway to make their payments before being given access to the application form . A pop-up form appears, to be completed by the student . He/She enters a valid ATM card (cash card) number, the expiry date, the PIN to the card, while the amount paid appears at the bottom;

    4.     Applicant thereafter completes the application form on-line, saves, submits and prints out the form;

   5.      Applicants, after the release of admitted students list, receive a notification via the Email address, if “ADMITTED or OTHERWISE”, proceeds to credit his/her Interswitch Campus debit card (Known as cash card) issued by Skye Bank;

    6.         Applicant proceeds to  http://www.mylaspotech.com to “Accept” the provisional offer of admission;

    7.         Applicant clicks on a flashing link showing “ Activate your portal view”;

    8.         Applicant sees two buttons namely “Accept Admission”(Fresh applicants) and “ Registration’, (Returning students);

    9.         The “Accept Admission” button now opens a new page that requires the applicant to put his/her Admission  PIN and the PIN of his/her cash card which must have been funded /credited;

    10.       A page now opens showing the various fee structures. He/ she is requested to pay the “Activation fee”;

    11.    On payment, the application displays the “Admission letter” which he/she prints. An acknowledgement page for receipt of payment saying “We have received your payment for the portal activation” is displayed;

    12.       Applicants will be required to fill the following fields:

            a).  Surname:

            b).  Other names:

            c).  Course of Study:

            d).  Matriculation number / Application form No.:

            e).  Username: (Applicant to suggest what his/her intended username and  

                  Password or the personalized portal  should be);

            f).   Password:

            g). Verify Password: (If applicant is activating for the first time) and thereafter clicks Submit.
