The Polytechnic has over 30,000 student running different programmes in the eight schools. LASPOTECH has earned a reputation as one the foremost polytechnic in Africa, in the fields of Management, Agriculture, Engineering and Technology. This is evidenced by the placement of our diplomates in various organizations, government ministries and parastatals.

All the School and departments are active in research as well as teaching, both of which are subject to external assessment.

The Quality Control Body for the monitoring of Polytechnic Education, the National Board For Technical Education (NBTE) has mechanisms for monitoring teaching, learning as well as research. The core aspects assessed are; curriculum design, content and organization, teaching learning and assessment, quality management and student progress.

PART TIME PROGRAMME (REGULAR)

To provide opportunity for those who are unable to secure admission into the Polytechnic for its regular courses and to meet the educational yearning of the working-class people who are eager to improve their educational status while keeping their jobs, the Polytechnic commenced part time programmes in the 1990/91 sessions.

Currently the School of Part-Time Studies runs programmes in Management, Science and Technology. The seat of administration for the Part-Time School is the Isolo Campus, because of its proximity to the working class which it mainly services.

In order to meet the yearning of the grass root people, the Polytechnic decided to take education to the doorstep of the people through the introduction of the annexes. Currently, the Polytechnic has twenty two Annexes scattered all over the state, with a view to meeting the educational desires of the people.

The Directorate of the School of Part Time Studies Annexes is located on the Ikorodu campus.

The admission requirements into any programme in the Polytechnic is basically the same. Kindly refer to same as already highlighted.

Nothing that some organizations and government parastatals are opportuned to release staff members who are interested in developing themselves further while on job, the Polytechnic commenced the School of Part Time Studies Day in the 2003/2004/ session. The school which is located on Surulere Campus offers programmes only in Accountancy, Business Studies and Banking & Finance.
