shrink further
into a Global

by the magic of
communication,
Mass

Nigeria has
continued to
attract massive
attention from
prospective
Students.
LASPOTECH has
since rise - up
to the challenge

practical based. This is
reflected in the series
of studio work designed
to strengthen the theory
base the students.
Regular internship in
media and communication
outfits is also a
departmental rule and is
firmly encouraged to
expose students to real
life scenarios even
while in school.
INTERNET
The Polytechnic
appreciates the
great potentials
Information and
Communication
Technology play
in meeting the
challenges of
education in
Nigeria. Given
the enormous
challenges
facing the
Institution in
the use of
information and
communication
Technology (ICT)
it is our desire
to promote the
use of internet
services and
V-SAT to link
the Campuses and
also open up the
Polytechnic to
the
international
business
community. The
V- SAT was
recently
installed in the
Polytechnic
Library with a
view to meeting
with modern
communication
technology, and
the global
village
syndrome, it is
expected that
the project
would provide
adequate network
for our staff
and students.

DEPARTMENT OF
ARCHITECTURE
One of the
advantages of
studying
Architecture in
Lagos State
Polytechnic is
the opportunity
provided for
students to
learn under
seasons
internationally-trained
architects. Most
of whom are
consultants to
civil and
structural
engineering
outfit in
Nigeria.
Apart
from the extensive
theoretical impartations

cake” in the
hospitality and
tourism market.

neighboring
counties have
their 80% work
force drawn from
the department.

DEPARTMENT OF
COMPUTER SCIENCE
If there is
anything that
has gained
unprecedented
attention across
the globe in the
recent time- it
is computer.
Almost
everything is
computer-mediated.
LASPOTECH as a training
institution is not
leaving any stone
unturned to catch the
“bug” and equip erudite
scholars that will
develop and maintain
indigenous computers.
The
computer department of
LASPOTECH owns both the
digital and analogue
laboratories. And the
lectures impacting
knowledge at the
department are
professionals to the
letter and beyond, these
and more make our
computer programme the
primus inter pares in
Nigeria. It is a home
grown Department, fully
established through Tax
fund in 1999.
DEPARTMENT OF
AGRICULTURAL
ENGINEERING
This department
is standing
metaphor for our
all important
maxim:
if
you give a man a
fish he will eat
a single meal;
if you teach him
how to fish he
will eat all his
life. From the
inception of
this department,
this saying has
been the magic
behind our
success. The
programme
combines sound
basic
engineering
principles with
practical
agriculture and
maintenance work
to give the
student
sufficient
background
knowledge
necessary for
them to be self-
employed or
proceed to
higher courses.
The programme
covers farm
power and
machinery, Crop
storage and
Processing. Soil
and Water

symbiotic
relationship
that exists
between the

provides the
student with an
excellent
training in
Basic Soil
Science, Crop
Production,
Livestock and
Fish Production.
