Membership of
the Student
Union is
optional in the
Polytechnic. The
Union represents
its members to
the Polytechnic,
the State and
the media, while
it offers
general and
welfare advise
as well as other
necessary
information. The
activities of
the Union as
well as other
clubs and
associations are
regulated and
closely
monitored by the
Directorate of
Students
Affairs. The
Union speaks on
behalf of
students on
issues relating
to sports,
welfare and
other social
activities.
Even
though a student has the
right not to become a
member of the Union,
students who exercise
the right are still
entitled to use all
available facilities on
the campus, free to join
any clubs and
associations but may not
hold office.
Election into the
Student Union Executives
are held annually under
the close monitoring of
the Directorate of
Student Affairs. All

Directorate of Students
Affairs on the Ikorodu
Campus.
